Tim deJong – Owner/Head Gaffer
Tim was born inside Saskatchewan, Canada. He studied ceramics, sculpture plus glass at Alfred University inside NY. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus inside glass art from Tyler’s School of Art at Temple University found inside Pennsylvania.
In 1991, Tim came to Texas about holiday plus fell inside love with all the Texas Hill Country. Within a year of his see, he bought property plus opened Wimberley Glassworks really south of the town of Wimberley TX. Tim is the sole owner plus uses 3 different full time glass blowers.
In 2006, WGW moved to a hot plus bigger place. What began because a tiny store with a limited garden seats for visitors to see glassblowing has grown into an air-conditioned store with seating for 90 individuals. Tim has built WGW into the Southwest’s premier art glass plus custom light studio. Wimberley Glassworks collections plus light is enjoyed inside homes internationally.
